Provincial Park El Potrero de Yala
The geography of the park includes a wide hillside of Blue Hill in the oriental spurs of the clump of The Chañi and is between(among) 1.500 m . Over sea level meters of altitude and 5.300 m in the summit of the Blue hill .It has six water mirrors: Lagoons Drain, of the Rodeo, of the Feeding-place, of the Noques, Alizar and Lagoon Talks and is 12 km far from the village of Yala. The approach road is sinuous and picturesque.
The thick cloud forrest with its variety of wild flowers among rives , streams and waterfalls shape an attractive environment. In the lagoons trouts and pejerreyes grow up and as being free of polution it is the nesting place of unique birds species and declared in 1995 Intangible Area .Since 2002 it is also Reservation of the Biosphere of the Yungas.
The fauna of the region includes different tyes of bruises, sparrows- hawks , herons , ducks , coots and biguás.
In the low areas there are parrots, magpies, atajacaminos, hummingbirds and in the high zones owls, condor and reptiles like yarará and coral, Andean frogs among othres .. In the Provincial Park of Yala activities like fishing, camping, mountain bike, trekking, birdsightning, mountaineering, cavalcades, etc, are allowed in permitted places and asking for authorization.
The Nacional Park of Calilegua is in Ledesma County . It was created in 1979 and it extends over an area of 76.306 has of mountainous area, with faults and gullyes It stands to protect a representative sample of the Cloud mountain forrest or yunga and an important water basin that supplies water to a wide agricultural zone. It is the most appreciated and visited Park in the Northwest region for the easy access , the beauty of its landscapes and its variety of fauna and flora.
